Choose the salt by end use, not by a generic product name
Start each bulk-salt order with its intended use. Industrial buyers normally define the required sodium chloride level, moisture, insoluble matter and limits for calcium, magnesium, sulphate or iron. Food buyers must specify an edible iodized product, compliant packing and the documents required for the finished application.
India Salt therefore separates industrial salt from refined iodized edible salt and then separates each product by packing format. The catalogue is a starting point for price and quantity. Where a buyer has a contractual chemistry, sampling, lab-report or delivery schedule, those requirements should be confirmed before dispatch.

A simple bulk-buying workflow
Select a product, enter the metric tonnes required and review the calculated rate, goods value and deposit. The online deposit is 10% of the goods value and is capped at ₹50,000. Company, delivery and transport details are confirmed after payment; the balance is payable before dispatch.
This model works particularly well for paid trials and known specifications. Large industrial contracts should still be supported by a purchase order, agreed test parameters, delivery schedule and a clear rule for freight, weighment and acceptance.

What a procurement team should send with an RFQ
A complete requirement gets a faster and more reliable answer than a one-line request for ‘best price’. State the end use, monthly or one-time quantity, required chemistry or standard, packing, delivery PIN code, unloading constraints, inspection or certificate needs and target dispatch window.
If the product will enter food production, also identify the applicable food-safety, licence, labelling and traceability documents. If it will enter an industrial process, attach the process specification or recent accepted certificate of analysis rather than assuming every grade described as industrial salt is interchangeable.

What is the minimum order on India Salt?
The published catalogue accepts whole-metric-tonne quantities from 1 MT. For larger or repeating requirements, buyers can use the same product page to calculate the goods value and start with a capped deposit.
Are packing and freight included?
Generic packing and loading are included in the displayed product price. Freight is confirmed at actual cost after the order, or the buyer may arrange a transporter. Custom packaging is quoted separately at actual cost.
Is GST charged on salt in India?
Salt under HSN 2501 is listed at a nil GST rate by CBIC. Buyers should still ensure the invoice description, HSN and any bundled services match the actual transaction.
